Abigail just celebrated her 7th birthday. This has been by far the biggest birthday she has had. The one thing she wanted was the American Girl Doll of the year, Chrissa. She got the doll and a bed for the doll during her party and she also accumulated quite a bit of money to spend on her trip to the American Girl Store in Atlanta. The original agreement was that this outing would be her party and we wouldn't have a party with her friends from school. Of course before it was all over she had negotiated a party at the Painted Clay, a pottery studio, for her friends. To top it all off one of her classmates had a birthday party the same day at the bounce barn which she and Michaela went to also. It was a full day of partying !!!!
She requested a cake that looked like something you could paint at the Painted Clay, hence the purse. She also requsted that the cake not be covered entirely by fondant, since she doesn't like fondant. Very hard to do!!
She decorated her own cake for the party with the grandparents. I think she did a fabulous job. She even cut it and served it herself!
There a loads of pictures! http://picasaweb.google.com/english.jenny/2009AbigailS7thBirthday?feat=directlink
