Abigail came to me a few weeks ago to tell me that she had started a band! Whoa, wait a minute! Seriously, a band!! She's been after us since then to let them come over to pratice the songs she's been writing for them. Primarily the song about a princess caught in a thunderstorm with a Tornado! Wicked, good Kindergarten imagination goin' on here!! Go we gave in, Greg brought home a ton of percussion instruments and we got together the praphernalia needed to make rainsticks, which incidentally were a huge hit, see them in the pic above. (Mom rocks!) So all the little girls came over, Abigail bossed them around for about 10 minutes for the princess song, they all got into it, we stepped in and made some rainsticks and the party was a success. The neighbors might not have been so happy about the percussion instruments but hey, Who are they to comment on the artistic sensibilities of 6 year olds!!! LOL!
Here's a brief video of them "rehearsing", then all the adults went outside and shut the door! In retrospect we probably should have made them wear ear plugs. Oh, well, if interest in the band continutes we'll be smarter next time. We'll get some for ourselves too!
